A Motörhead-approved high-rye bourbon, named after one of the British rock band's most famous albums! Ace of Spades is made from a mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% barley, bottled by Proof Artisan Distillers in Fargo, North Dakota. The label even features artwork from the album cover, along with signatures from band members Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell, and Mikkey Dee. Rock 'n roll 'n bourbon – great stuff!
Cinnamon sugar, herbal rye, peppercorn spice, and mint chocolate.
Oaky vanilla, dark fudge, cigar box, and dark chocolate.
Spicy cinnamon and peppery rye.
Branding aside this is a good satisfying bourbon, they must have given it some thought before putting the Motorhead name on the bottle. Good neat but add a drop of water and OMG that's good. Some whiskey's taste like they're "fighting" against the proof but not this, here, I am enjoying a smooth mouth watering experience and could easily make this a go to staple. Despite the lore of Lemmy's favored tipple this is far too good to be mixing with a coke! Top marks and for me worth the money.
