Independently bottled single malt from Mortlach, matured in one hogshead cask from 2001 to 2018. Following that, the whisky was bottled by Wemyss Malts and given the name Spicy Mango Jam. The bottle is not full of spicy mango jam, it is full of whisky that has a flavour profile that could remind you of spicy mango jam. A bottle is not the optimal vessel for jam, whether it be mango-based or not... Anyway, this is a release of 304 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Brown sugar, caraway, cedar and sun-dried tomato.

Palate

Sweeter than the nose (and name) suggests, with fresh apple, orange, milk chocolate and quince.

Finish

Hints of red chilli flake and damp oak linger.
