Mortlach 8yo 2008 #11257 Bottling Note

A single cask bottling of 8 year old Mortlach, distilled in February 2008 and bottled in May 2016. It was aged in a refill hogshead until Douglas Laing came along and bottled it for the Provenance range with an outturn of 434 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Golden syrup and malted barley vanilla-y notes. A handful of exotic spices.

Palate: The spice continues on the finish, joined by warming oak.

Finish: Vanilla custard and spiced rum.
