A weighty Speyside classic given the full Murray McDavid treatment. Mortlach’s famously meaty spirit has spent over three decades maturing before a finishing stint in Pedro Ximénez octaves, adding an extra layer of richness without tipping it over the edge. Dense, waxy distillate meets dark fruit and sweetness, with the cask influence dialled in rather than dumped on top.
Beeswax, dried apricot, orange peel, and soft brown sugar with a savoury edge.
Fudge, stewed fruit, malt loaf, and gentle spice, with a rich, waxy texture.
Fruit, oak, and a touch of toasted malt.
