19 year old single malt from Speyside's Mortlach distillery, aged in a single cask and independently bottled by... us! Yes, it's another delicious Mortlach joining our Single Cask Series! This whisky was distilled on the 2nd of June 1997 and matured in a hogshead cask until the 14th of October 2016.
Oodles of apples and pears, followed by bourbon-y cask char and creamy vanilla. Filo pastry and rhubarb crumble.
White grape, more cooked apple (now with a few cheeky blackberries thrown in too). Baking spices and anise. Slightly floral malt.
Sugary jam doughnuts, spiced pear, white pepper and lasting vanilla.
Absolutely delicious!!!!
