Description
Independently bottled by Càrn Mòr, this single malt was distilled at Mortlach in 2008 before spending 14 years maturing, including a finish in ex-Moscatel casks! Bottled up for Càrn Mòr's Strictly Limited series in 2022.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Bold soaked fruit and roasted, caramelised nuts, fragrant oak, and woody vanilla.
Palate
Sweet sultanas balance juicy barley, with toasted almonds and fresh vanilla pod following. Things continue with chewy toffee, tinned pineapple, and bittersweet citrus.
Finish
A core of earthy spice comes to the fore, with hefty malt, mocha, and spiced fruit loaf.
