This single malt from Mortlach joins the Old Particular collection from independent bottler Douglas Laing. It was distilled in January 2011 and then matured for a dozen years in a single refill hogshead (cask 17756) before it was bottled up at 48.8% ABV.
Nose Foam bananas, tinned peaches, fudge, and freshly baked brown bread, with some meatiness.
Palate Creamy nuttiness, juicy barley, tropical fruit, and woody spice.
Finish Peppery malt with stone fruit.
