An indie Mortlach here from Wemyss Malts! This was distilled in 1998 and allowed to mature in a single barrel until 2016, when it was bottled with an outturn of 306 bottles. They've titled this one 'Ginger Glazed Gammon', which is a rather mouthwatering name indeed!
Stem ginger, almonds, dates and meaty malt.
Chewy raisins, spiced oak, more meaty barley notes developing later on. A little bit of chocolate-chip cookie, too.
Long, with spicy ginger snap and toasted bread.
