From Duncan Taylor's stellar Dimensions range comes this single cask Mortlach, distilled in June 1997 and aged for 14 years before bottling in February 2012. This is batch 0001.
Balanced, inviting nose with just a soupcon, nay, a smidgeon of sweet smoke. Also present are hints of pine resin, caramel, orange zest and walnut.
Rubbery and rounded, with notes of fresh flowers and parmaviolets, candyfloss and toffee apples. Sweet and rich.
Good length with little zinging notes of spice on the tail.
