A single malt Scotch whisky from an undisclosed distillery on Islay, bottled by Morrison & MacKay. The name, The Big Strand, comes from the long sandy beach way out west on the Isle of Islay.
Delightfully coastal, with hints of oily barley underneath.
The coastal theme continues on the palate, with a touch of bonfires too.
Vanilla and smoke. Some fresh fruit sweetness.

Young caol ila.....vanilla...smoke...more smoke...maybe a wee blast of candied lemon.....but bang for your buck a cracker
Very nice dram. Young but full of flavour. Nice smoke. Love it.
Fantastic bonfire smoke and ash with Windy coastal sea spray, At half the price of a lot of Islay Whisky don't let the non age statement put you off.
