The first release from Moon Harbour is the Pier 1 expression - a blended whisky which was finished in Sauternes casks at their location in Bordeaux. A hint of what's to come in the future, as the folks behind it are in the process of making their very own distillery in a bunker in the Seaport of Bordeaux!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fragrant barley, leading to brown sugar-coated tropical fruit.
Palate
Vanilla start to take control on the palate, but sweet stone fruit notes remain.
Finish
Flaky pastry and a touch of white pepper.
