    Delicious

I'm really wondering if anyone on here or anywhere else on the web might know what is the best way to spend my money while in Japan on Nikka. I always buy the 17, this time around I have picked up many bottles of the from the barrel. But in terms of Yoichi and Miyagikyo, I tend to always go with the 10 year old, which clocks in, best price being 4400 yen for 700ml. the 12 year old variants of these two go up by at least 2000 yen if not more, and the 15 year at least double the price point. I absolutely love the 10 year olds, what I'm wondering is if it is just fine to head back home with only those or if I am doing myself a disservice by not paying the extra for the 12 or 15.. of course I want to try to 20 but that is a little bit out of my range. I just cannot find any comparisons online.. it seems like 2 years is not that much older but it seems to be a common bump up in Japan in terms of years and price.. and people tend to write that it is definitely more mature. just wondering if anyone has advice in terms of if the 10 year old is in fact the best deal or if I should definitely be trying another 1 of these... and by the way if you are ever in Japan I do recommend popping into local supermarkets... sometimes I have to go on long bike rides or walks just to find the markets that actually have it. I contacted Nikka for help with this but it was not very useful. but anyway you can sometimes find the 10 year old verions for 1220 yen for a 180 milliliter bottle ..
