Michter's US*1 Rye Bottling Note

A straight rye whiskey from the Michter's Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. Every bottle of their excellent rye comes from a single barrel, highlighting the quality of their craft. A top choice for cocktails - we're particularly interested in making a Sazerac with some of this!

Expensive, but worth the taste
Wish this stuff was available in the u.k. Best rye whiskey, and bourbon by far. Great buy, and taste.

Delectable
A delicious spirit, with notes of dried fruit (raisins?) and spice, initially sweetish on the palate but a dry, persistently warm finish. Reminds me of armagnac.

Absolute perfection
Hands down the best Rye I've tried on the market. I'm a rye guy, so I'm quite picky with ryes. And this one ticks all the boxes, sweet, spicey, and complexity that you need to try for yourself. Would recommend as a staple rye for everyone.

Superb Rye!

This is my Second favorite rye on the market; Bold, yet crisp with a remarkable finish and flavour profile. An extremely reasonable price considering the majority of Rye's that are of equal price or even more expensive, are noticeably inferior in quality.

My Favorite
My favorite whiskey I’ve had, even better than the $100+ bottles I’ve bought. Continue shopping around for a better whiskey but still can’t beat this for 5 years running now. Extremely smooth and began my passion for good whiskey!

Excellent
Outstanding, and with an excellent price point. You can pay a lot more, and not get something as aromatic and balanced.

Dry & Spicy
Dry and spicy, yet fruity at the same time. Reminds me of a dry fruit leather. Nice rye.

An OK Rye
I prefer Knob Creek rye to this one.

Best rye on the market
Amazing. Best rye on the market. And not nearly as hard to find as some that are 5x the price

Elevating
I will remember the day I first tasted this little drop of heaven. This is truly one of the best Rye Whiskeys I have had in a very long time. It has a nice spicy finish, the kind that will give you the slightest of tickles in the back of your throat, leaving you begging for more. Its strong, but not overwhelming, simultaneously both sweet and dry, fruity and yet earthy. This rye somehow has the achievement of being perfectly balanced. 9/10 I know what I'll be sipping for the Holidays.
