A blended malt from Michel Couvreur, who gets Scotch whisky sent over to France to be aged in Sherry oak casks in Burgundy before blending. Quite unusual, but very intriguing.

best seller here at Fujioka's in Honolulu. Extremely smooth tasted some time ago.
Clean, strong enough and a bit sweet. Perfectly balanced!
The greatest, ever tasted!
Loved it
Very unique, very rich whiskey with a good balance of flavors. DARK. Subtle smoke, pecans, dried fruits, fruit cake, sugar cereal, pork rind, fatty notes, vinous notes. A bit brooding and unwelcoming at first (very french), but as the bottle sat open and I got to know Monsieur Couvreur over the following week or two, he willingly shared the flavors I mentioned. A very obviously unfiltered scotch, hazy with some particles of the barrels, and clumped fatty acids. I actually filtered it through cheesecloth to remove some of the particulates and it helped to aerate it. Did I say unique? It makes an excellent Godfather drink with a splash of amaretto. As for the cork, use a CORKSCREW, whoda thunk? Pull it right through the wax, clean up the edge with the corkscrew blade, and enjoy. A must-try because there really is nothing like it. If you like the thicker, oily style of scotch, this is right up your alley. I will buy again some day for sure.
