Reviews for Method and Madness Single Grain
A matter of taste...
The pencil shavings profile is accurate; I guess you’ll either love or hate it. This is a great Grain whiskey, which all (Grain whiskies) seem to have a peculiar nose and flavour profile. This M&M whiskey has been, categorically (so far as I’m concerned), the best expression of its kind. Exceeds the value given its price point.

14 drams of intrigue
Currently in the process of working my way through MaM line up (some I sourced directly from Middleton the rest from MOM) I start with this one and enjoyed an evening dram of it each and every time I decided to pour.
Simply put it's very Irish at heart with bags of zest being pulled forward by that 46abv, candied grapefruit type gummy sweets but a dried woody finish chases.

Sometimes I get mint sometimes I don't but always have a delicate cereal note that eventually is dominated by a strong but nice woody finish.

Punchy and delicious.
The tasting notes provided by MoM are spot on. Confused by the ambivalence with some of the reviews, but everything put to market by M&M is truly a stellar whiskey. The SG is no different. I have the full current M&M lineup, and this is the most punchy and zippy of the group. Definitely different than the single pot still whiskies, but this is a fraction of the price. Really enjoyable and a great glass for any whiskey enthusiast.

Not much to like about it. Treat this as experiment
Reminds me of over oaked 40year old scotches - just not what you want from a quality spirit. Pencil shavings carries all the way from nose through to the finish, but not the good kind... the cheap ones where you can smell the old paint on them too, very much drying effect in the mouth. Only good thing about this is that the price allows you to buy it and not expect from it too much. 50 or above would gran this a 1 star.

Wery well balanced
The single pot still gets all the attention (and it's stunning), but this one is a gem too... a fantastic and very well balanced grain whisky, love it.
