Mellow Corn is a distinctive American whiskey produced by Heaven Hill Distillery. Classified as a straight corn whiskey, it is made with a mash bill of at least 80% corn, the remainder being a combination of malted barley and rye. It's aged in used oak barrels and has a light, golden colour and a bold flavour profile characterized by sweet corn, vanilla, and oak, with a touch of spice. Bottled at 50% ABV, it offers a strong, flavorful experience that stands out among other whiskies.
Had never tried corn whisky before this, but bought it purely out of curiosity. Consistency is very thin, almost like water, and can taste a bit too much ethanol in it. Don’t think I’ll buy it again, but if you’re looking for something a bit different from the usual then who knows, it might be right up your street. I know a lot of people that rate this highly, and credit where it’s due you can definitely taste the corn.
I remember a member of a bar team recommending this. Looks deceive on this one. Flavour AND value it's a keeper......
lked this a lot it is mellow but that does not mean it lacks flavour nice and strong depths probably the best american whisky i have had for a long time
Bought a bottle and loved it. Not too dissimiliar to bourbon. I well buy again
Wasn't sure what to expect, but this is good stuff. Buttery, smooth but with that nice spicy kick. I'd definitely buy another.
