Description

Some Christmas secrets are worth keeping. Where we found this 23-year-old Orkney single malt, for instance. We’re rather more forthcoming about why we bottled it: juicy fruit, a lovely creamy texture, and enough cakey richness to give the festive baking some competition, all gently seasoned with spice and coastal character. Drawn from a refill butt for our very own Christmas 2026 range, it’s a fine gift for someone who appreciates a well-aged island malt. You can leave the distillery detective work to them. A release of 505 bottles.

Nose

Juicy notes of apricot, creamy peach, and fruit cake richness, with coastal waves of salted fudge and robust, sweet malt.

Palate

Slick toffee and more juicy stone fruits, gently waxy, with a touch of citrus zest leading to aged Christmas cake, cinnamon cream, and gently warming spice.

Finish

Sweetness and spice linger, with ripe fruit, baked apple, refined oak, a touch of pepper, and elegant salinity nestling beneath.
