Looking for a Burns Night Whisky? Well, here you go!
Each year for 25 January, we attempt to create the perfect bottle to accompany every toast at a Burns Supper, and this year is no different. Well, okay, it's a little different; the label looks like a leather-bound book, the distillery is a secret*, and it's an absolutely beautiful 16-year-old Highland malt matured in a PX hogshead and bottled at a healthy 50.5%. There is even a goofy poem on the back.
With a thick fudgy sweetness, rich blend of spice, and juicy, bright fruity flavours, this is a real crowd pleaser. Natural colour and non-chill-filtered, this decadent drop is perfect for gifting, sharing over a celebratory supper, or enjoying while raising a glass to the bard.
Slàinte!
* - another secret? Our Head of Whisky was wed on Burns Night, so he ALWAYS chooses a banger to mark the occasion. Selfish? Generous? You decide.
Baked apple and warming caramel join creamy notes of tea biscuits and vanilla wafers. Fruity, cakey, with banana bread and a subtle touch of seasalt, and big, sweet waves of maple-y, toasty malt.
Textured and roubust with bold maltiness, hazelnut topped toasted biscuits, and creme brulee. Silky maple syrup with all the sappy character baked in support hints of spice, with toffee apples and chewy dates backed by deep oaky warmth.
Woody spices and dark toffee linger with a splendid balance of apricot, vanilla custard and invigorating cakey spice.

This arrived yesterday and for under 50 quid for a 16yr old it's an absolute banger. Do yourself a favour and grab one while it lasts.
