Oh Canada! Our head of whisky, Sam Simmons, brings us a wholesome slice of his homeland with this Canadian whisky. Distilled in 2014, the whisky spent five years maturing in a refill sherry hogshead, and we cracked it open to yield 242 bottles for our own Master of Malt collection in 2019.
Coffee cake, roasted walnuts, maple syrup, and butterscotch, with rich oak char, fluffy pancakes, and hints of cinnamon snaps.
Soft and buttery, with popcorn and a dusting of nutmeg alongside hints of toffee apple and spiced tea loaf.
Fruit buns, cherries, and a lick of fiery, woody ginger and peppercorn, mellowed by chewy toffee, gentle oak, and browned butter.
