Master of Malt 50 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky
Aged for half a century(!), this is an extraordinary, complex Scotch whisky. We're proud to have bottled this piece of liquid history unchill-filtered with its natural colour at a strength of 47.5% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Integrated oak notes that can only develop over many decades complement honeyed golden fruits, freshly baked gingerbread, vanilla, marzipan and soft anise without overpowering any of them.
Palate
A fruity palate with mandarin, peach flesh, Charentais melon, more honey and soft spices supported by cocoa-like oak.
Finish
Clean, dignified oak comes to the fore for the first time with hints of Tunnock's teacakes. Sublime.
