Secret Speyside 10yo MoM

Top secret stuff here from a magical place called Speyside. The bottle contains single-malt whisky, a delicious substance obtained by collecting rainwater and biscuit crumbs and combining them through a cheesecloth (or something like that, but with a bit more science). Housed in a hollowed-out log for a decade (also known as a cask to some people), someone was brave enough to give it a taste, and it's actually not bad. Not bad at all. Very good actually. Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Juicy pear drops dusted with icing sugar, apricot, nectarine, and yellow plum. Delicate vanilla and mashed banana keep things fruity and tropical.

Palate Superbly soft, those tropical notes from the nose carry through with suggestions of banana milkshake and foam banana sweeties. Cooked sugared pear and buttery pastry follow.

Finish Cream soda, vanilla custard, soft-skinned stone fruit, Peach Melba.

Not bad.
I’m disappointed that I have to swim against the tide a little here; following on from the rather Impressive ‘Secret Highland’ I had high hopes for this. What I found instead was a rather dilute tasting and nondescript dram. Yes I realise that It is weaker than the highland and not a single cask, however It’s a bit thin and lacklustre to my taste. To be fair I’ve only just opened the bottle so It may well Improve. It does have many of the attributes one expects from a Speyside and Is eminently quaffable. But, but…. It hasn’t put me off though and I look forward to sampling more of MOM’s marvellous secret offerings In the future.

Brilliant quality daily dram for a memorable price
Absolute bargain. Quality Speyside with all the characteristics. Bought a second very swiftly (only 600 in the bottling) and then my wife discovered it! I’ve now been back to raid the stock room and have 3 more coming because you cannot beat this as a daily dram.

Terrific super smooth dram.
Unbelievable for the price. Super smooth with citrus and honey notes. I'm normally an Islay fan but I love this.

Lovely wee drop for under 25 quid! No denying it's a Speyside. Had a couple of measures now, nothing but a splash of water in both. Very drinkable.
