We bagged a brilliant Speyside single malt here, distilled in 2009 and matured for nine years in a refill hogshead. When it comes to the distillery, well, that's a secret. Confidential, like a recipe for cola or fried chicken, but you know it's the real fingerlickin' thing. 670 bottles join our own collection of in-house releases.

Cinder toffee, brioche, yeasty, with sweet, soft barley, creamy rice pudding, butterscotch, milk bottle sweeties, and a bakery load of buttered pastries.
White chocolate buttons land first, followed by a bold backing of peppery malt. Complex layers of roasted chestnut, chewy toffee, and butter biscuits assemble beside robust oak and sherry-soaked sultanas.
A final flash of pepper arrives on the end, leaving a warm finish, cushioned by hearty layers of drying oak, biscuity barley, and burnt caramel.

Powerful and tasty , but just missing something.... hard to explain.
As a previous review has said, this needs some water to calm it down a little. However, the water releases a wonderful array of flavours. A really great whisky, and excellent value.
Took a gamble and glad I did, very enjoyable and bought another. I don't often add water to my whisky but this benefits from several teaspoonsful. Nice to try something a bit different from the usual.
Another good Whisky form MOM. For the price and strength, you cannot go wrong. I had to play about with the water, to get it just right, but hey that's part of the fun. I have already ordered another bottle. Kev Doncaster
Firstly delivery was outstanding. Ordered one day and it arrived within 24 hours, despite it being in the days just before Xmas. This malt is powerful and unique and one of the best to my mind. Chilled and on ice is my choice.
