We tossed our Ordnance Survey map into the wind and followed its general direction in a straight line across the Scottish Highlands to find this single malt! Fortunately, just as we were beginning to get thirsty, we chanced upon a distillery and picked up a magnificent cask of whisky. This single malt was distilled in 2016 and spent a decade maturing in a single refill hogshead, yielding an outturn of 603 bottles for our exclusive Master of Malt collection, without added colour or chill filtration.

Apple pastries, creamy grist, yeasty dough, and porridge. Vibrant notes of overripe fruit, vanilla cream, and figs stuffed with stilton, wrapped in parma ham.
A delicate start, with softly sweet notes of candyfloss and fluffy Victoria sponge, butterscotch, and rusk biscuits. Rice pudding joins, with hints of banana bread, and some savoury oak nestling beneath.
White chocolate and milk bottle sweeties, gooseberry fool, hazelnut cream, a subtle touch of creamy lemon sorbet, bready malt, and polished oak.

Having previously enjoyed the "Secret Speyside Distillery 8 Year Old" I decided to give the Highland a try. Spicy and warm and fruity a fairly typical highland malt and great value for money. Takes a little water well but don't overdo it!
