Mannochmore
Scotland
Single Malt
Look at how dark this whisky is! That's why it was named "The Black Whisky". Loch Dhu is actually Gaelic for "Black Lake", this was distilled at Mannochmore and has gained a cult status, quite a collector's item.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
beautiful , first tasted it in 2001. l am not a whiskey drinker but love Loch Dhu.
Cannot believe my eyes at some of the offensive and negative twoddle written by others. Fine you don't like it .... I don't like your tone !! .....but I DO very much like Loch Dhu, after first tasting it at the Applecross Inn some years ago.
Best malt I've ever tasted, restart production.
I wonder if everyone realizes what they're drinking. The black color is obtained from burning the inside of the barrel, think of all the carcinogens you are ingesting while sipping your lovely scotch. Tasting notes; it's like licking a wet log from a Campfire from the night before.
The best scotch I've ever tasted.++++ From the reviews it seams that you will love this scotch or hate it. Call me a lover.
