A delicious and charitable whisky from Dalmore, a "significant proportion" of profits from each bottle of Mackenzie sold will go towards the upkeep of the clan';s ancestral seat, Castle Leod.
Initially matured in bourbon hogsheads for 11 years, The Mackenzie spent the last 6 years of its maturation in port pipes.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Sweet marmalade with some berry fruit and a few lively lemon notes. The sweetness is toffee-like.
Clove and nutmeg spiciness through the thick, full sweet body. Baked apples, more marmalade and a balancing hint of citrus.
Smooth with a bit of pepper that spices it up a little. Simple but lengthy and soft.
A lovely Dalmore that shows off the distillery's characteristic flavour profile to great effect.

A fantastic complex dram and well worth the money
