An intriguing single malt from Mackmyra, Skogslagret was released as part of the Warehouse series where each variant was allowed to mature in a different location. This particular edition was aged in the Skogslagret department store, found almost directly next to the distillery! It spent its days in both bourbon and American oak casks, so it's full of creaminess and gentle fruit flavours.
Fresh pear, buttery oak, vanilla, and cinnamon sugar.
Oak spiciness appears, alongside red and green apple, and woody vanilla pod.
A pinch of rock salt balances an otherwise sweet and creamy finish.
