Mackmyra Moment - Karibien
Even with no knowledge of the Swedish language, we were able to figure out some of the inspiration for the Karibien expression from Mackmyra's Moment series from the name. This lip-smacking single malt features whisky aged in casks that previously held rum from Barbados and Jamaica! Around 75% of the whisky was drawn from rum casks, with the remaining portion made up of whisky drawn from Oloroso casks and cherry wine casks.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Buttery pastry filled with rum-soaked dried fruit. Ground almond savoury oak.
Palate
Chocolate eclairs, pineapple fritters, vanilla-rich barley and quince.
Finish
Soft hints of sultana, raisin and ginger snaps.
