Mackmyra Moment - 22 Bottling Note

Mackmyra has taken a look into its history for this expression from the Moment range, which has been billed as the reincarnation of its Preludium series. Preludium was a selection of whiskies released in 2005 and 2007 that Mackmyra's production and whisky stocks from its first years. For Moment 22, Mackmyra has taken whisky from its archives and given it a lengthy finishing period in 30 litre Swedish oak casks. It's a bit like a history book you can drink, just much tastier than drinking a book, obviously.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Buttery and oaky, with a layer of blueberry preserve and some liquorice brightness.

Palate: A slow build of toasty spices and maybe even a little hint of coastal peat minerality, plus waves of thick honey and sherry.

Finish: Lingering oily barley, dried pear and caraway notes.
