Mackmyra's core expression is a light Swedish whisky matured primarily in first fill bourbon barrels but also includes whisky aged in Sherry and Swedish oak casks too as well as some smokier malt, which all adds to the complexity.
Fresh, delicate fruit aromas with vanilla pods. Pine nuts, pine needles, raspberry bushes and mixed peels. Ryvita and Sesame Snaps.
Vanilla cream, custard even and more fruit. Red berries, boiled sweets and rich, warming bourbon.

Really light and smooth with a sweet finish. Excellent!
Blown away by this... Very different nose from what I'm used to. Reminded me a little of a Knockandu in the nose, green apples, almost calvados in its aroma, lots of pear drops. Taste lacked depth, almost like a thick oaked Chardonnay, but rather moreish!
