From Duncan Taylor's Octave indie bottling range comes a 9 year old Macduff single malt, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2017 following a 5 month finishing period in a single octave cask. 93 bottles were released.
Earthy at first with oak and lemongrass, before biscuit-y sweetness and plump sultanas bring sweetness.
Liquorice, fresh ginger, orange peel and a heaped spoonful of brown sugar.
Slightly meaty malt lingers, with a honey glaze.
