Well-Sherried Macduff single malt, independently bottled by Ian Macleod for the Chieftain's range. This was distilled in June 1991 and allowed to mature for 26 years in a single Sherry butt until June 2017, when it was bottled with an outturn of 730 bottles.
Red wine gums, lemongrass, stewed plums and oily walnut.
Oodles of plummy richness, joined by caramel, dark coffee and thyme honey.
A long finished packed with oak and chocolate truffle notes.
Oof! - stewed plums and mixed oily nuts.
