Macduff 21 Year Old 1997 (cask 12943) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
Single cask Macduff single malt, aged in a refill hogshead for 21 years. The cask was laid down in May 1997 and left to slumber until November 2018, when it was cracked open by Douglas Laing. 331 bottles were produced for the Old Particular range.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Grassy at first, but soon enough becomes rich in caramel and citrus.
Palate
Chocolate eclair, brown bread, a hint of dry white wine.
Finish
Lasting vanilla and plum sweetness on the finish.
