Macduff 2004 (bottled 2017) - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail)
2004 vintage Macduff single malt, drawn from refill American hogshead which matured the whisky until 2017, when Gordon & MacPhail came along and bottled it up for the Connoisseurs Choice range. Which was rather nice of them.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Ripe banana, orange zest and a burst of pomegranate. Creamy malt notes appear underneath.
Palate
Cornflakes in milk, topped with brown sugar. Hints of leafy coriander and vegetal lemongrass.
Finish
Cacao, honey and peppery white oak hints.
