20 year old single malt distilled by the marvellous Macduff, and independently bottled by the also brilliant Hunter Laing! That's like greatness squared or something. Anyway, maths aside, this expression was aged in a single refill hogshead from 1998 to 2019, and then bottled up for The First Editions series. A small release of 189 bottles.
Warming with baking spices and stem ginger, though toffee apple and honey mellow the spices.
Walnut, cedar, more ripe apple, a subtle herbaceous element of aromatic tea.
Chocolate-chip cookie and dry oak offer a tasty juxtaposition on the finish.
