A rather marvellous Speyside single malt Scotch distilled at Macduff in 1997, independently bottled by Samaroli in June 2017 from a single cask. Only 432 bottles were made of this release, so it's not all good news. Still, as you can clearly see from the label, music would be a fine accompaniment to this whisky...
Honeyed oak and leafy tobacco coat raw cocoa powder, red wine gums, and nutty brown bread.
Sweet malt and caramelised apricot and some nectarine juice keep thyme and a prickle of nutmeg in check.
Long and subtly spicy, there's a touch of menthol in the backdrop.
