Magnificent single malt from Macduff here, distilled in 2009 and matured for 13 years in a single refill bourbon barrel. The team at Gordon & MacPhail was obviously impressed with this one as they bottled it up for the Connoisseurs Choice series at 60.5% ABV.
Red apples, waxy oranges, sugar-coated almonds, and cinnamon.
Meaty malt, honey, citrus, mango, and a little liquorice.
Ripe and refreshing.
