This is a 1 litre bottling of 20 year old Glen Deveron single malt Scotch whisky, originally released for the Travel Retail market. 'Glen Deveron' is the name used by the Macduff distillery for their official bottlings of single malt. It's not often you get to see their whisky outside of independent bottlings, though it does find its way into many popular blends. Plenty of Sherry cask influence in this one.
The 20 year old and younger 16 year old bottles are a staple in my home scotch bar. Everyone who tries it can't get enough.
A shameful outcome of a 20 year old stuff. Smooth yes, but it doesn't have the richness and complexity that many of the younger Glenfiddich whiskies have. A waste of money (notwithstanding that it is cheap for the 20 year tag). Funnily, most whiskies should have the same density, but the rich ones feel 'denser', heavy. This is just opposite - watery with a whisky flavor.
Excellent for the price. Very smooth. Finish is fantastic. Do yourself a favor by getting a bottle.
