Another batch of Macallan single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company! The second batch to carry an age statement - a full 29 years on this occasion - the label once again features the distillery's curiously small stills... (In case you're in any doubt, they're not actually small at all!)
Batch 6 is a release of 293 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends, all adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels. The brand won Spirits Bottler of the Year at the 2023 Spirits Business Awards, and Blender of the Year went to Sam Simmons, captain of the Boutique-y clan who oversees every one of these releases.
Raspberry bushes, buttered scones, double cream and soft chamois leather.
Stewed red fruit with a little rhubarb supported by malt core. Great balance.
Long with fruity coffee notes.
