An exquisite 25 year old Macallan single malt! This luxurious Speyside whisky was filled into a single refill sherry hogshead on Monday, 9th April 1990, emerging like a butterfly on 17th December 2015 (which was a Thursday). Just 189 bottles were produced at a natural cask strength of 49.4% ABV.
Superbly rich and thick, Eccles cakes, raisins, fig rolls, menthol, burnt corn flakes, raw honey and rancio.
Interplay between oak and sugars, oodles of bitter chocolate and a big dollop of marmalade.
A brown sugar cube and brandy in sparkling wine.
