Longmorn 10 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
Choo choo - a new indie bottling of Longmorn single malt has arrived at MoM Towers! This one is a 10 year old expression, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The label references the workable steam engine that you can find at the Longmorn distillery, which is not a normal bit of kit for a whisky distillery, but will surely come in handy one day.
Batch 3 is a release of 1,793 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, blends and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sponge cake with honey and strawberry jam initially, then a bit of floral barley and toasted oats. A hint of orchard fruit and wood spice underneath.
Palate
Baking spice, toffee and dark fruits, with some minty herbal notes, orange zest and drying oak.
Finish
Black pepper heat develops alongside white grapes and shortbread.
