This right here is the first batch of Longmorn single malt Scotch whisky which has been independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! On the label you get a peek at the inside of the distillery, with its beautiful stills and whirring steam engine... Wait, steam engine?!
That's right, the Longmorn distillery in Speyside is home to a workable steam engine. Though this doesn't mean that the distillery classifies as a train (as Sam initially pondered), it's still a mighty cool bit of kit.
Batch 1 is a release of 157 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, bourbons, blended malts and blends from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Fruit and barley character - raspberries and caramelised pears, pancakes with cinnamon, blueberries and lemon, fresh baking.
Tongue-coating and malty with maple syrup, toffee, cedar and wood spice, Manuka honey and sourdough bread.
Sweet malt, white pepper and honeyed oak.
A malty, flavoursome Longmorn that hits the spot.
