Bottled by Càrn Mòr, it's a splendid Longmorn single malt Scotch. Distilled in 2013, this expression spent eight years in first-fill bourbon barrels before being bottled up in 2022 for Càrn Mòr's Strictly Limited series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Flaky butter pastry, dustings of icing sugar, a drizzle of citrus oil, and crumbly vanilla shortbread.
Palate
Creamy oaken vanilla leads the way with soft peach and apricot in tow. Dried orange wheels dipped in chocolate follow, with a slow build of warming cooking spice.
Finish
Honeyed nuts linger alongside vanilla fudge, while peppery heat prickles through.
