    Single Malt

    Longmorn 28 Year Old 1988 (cask 14357) - Mackillop's Choice

Distilled on 13 October 1988 at the Longmorn distillery, this single malt Scotch whisky was bottled at cask strength 60.8% ABV for the Mackillop's Choice series in September 2017. If you hadn't noticed, it matured for 28 years in a single cask and is non-chill filtered, which is lovely. There are only 182 bottles, which is not so lovely - unless you manage to get in early and secure a bottle...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Through aniseed and fennel comes barley sugar, blackcurrant, cinnamon and some nuttiness too.

    Palate

Long and peppery, poppy seed bread, red grapes and juicy barley reveal and linger over fresh peach and a hint of honey'd charred oak.

    Finish

Freshly cut grass and wood polish delicately balance with walnut loaf and liquorice.
