A Longmorn single malt Scotch whisky matured in a refill hogshead for an impressive 24 years – from October 1996 to June 2021. Following that rest, it was bottled up by Hunter Laing for the long-running Old Malt Cask series at 50% ABV. A release of 212 bottles.
Candied pineapple and cola cubes, with a hint of dusty oak.
Caramel, jasmine tea, chocolate chip cookies, and ginger.
Slightly bready on the finish, with more caramel lingering.
