A single cask release from the Manager's Choice series. This Royal Lochnagar was distilled in 1994 and matured in a sherry cask (cask number 837) before bottling in 2009 at cask strength. The result is an outturn of 528 bottles.
Dry and distinctive. Notes of sawdust, pine, vanilla, dates, prunes, big sherry, toffee sweetness, hints of dark peat and dry floral aromas.
Gentle and medium bodied with a delivery that focuses on savoury, bittersweet herbals flavours before a rush of winter berries, marmalade, butterscotch and malt.
Herbal, crisp and tangy with a range of exotic Eastern spices, fruity, chocolaty, walnut, oak.
