Lochlea Fallow Edition Bottling Note

The third in the series of seasonal limited releases from Lochlea. Fallow Edition (First Crop) has been matured entirely in first-fill oloroso sherry casks, for plenty of rich, autumnal fruit character. This single malt Scotch whisky is made with barley grown on the Lochlea farm, and has been bottled non-chill filtered, at 46% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Plenty of sherry character, with juicy plums, poached apple, and warm pancakes.

Palate: Dried prunes and figs, spiced fruitcake, earthy grist, and twists of aniseed.

Finish: Dark treacle, drizzles of honey, and winter spices.

Great dram

Fantastic colour, and a great palate. Not overly sherried as can sometimes be the case with whiskies of this colour, but nicely balanced
