A 27 year old lightly peated single malt from the Loch Lomond Distillery, by the name of Old Rhosdhu, one of the many different and wonderful names that Loch Lomond's whisky is released under. This expression aged in a single bourbon cask from February 1994 to 2021, when it was bottled up at 47% ABV with an outturn of 360 bottles for The Cooper's Choice range.
Apricot, nectarine, lemon peel, polished oak and a hint of old leather.
Tropical fruit tangy notes develop on the palate, with juicy mango and quince, while malty vanilla and soft earthy spices develop underneath.
A touch of oaky smoke sticks around.
