Description

This is the third release in Loch Lomond’s Waypoint Series, and the oldest peated whisky the distillery has released to date. Distilled using Loch Lomond’s straight-neck stills, the whisky matured for 31 years across three types of bourbon American oak cask before spending its final 12 months in tawny Port pipes. Bottled at 44.1% ABV, without chill filtration and at natural colour.

Nose

Blackberry and blackcurrant with runny honey, dried cherry and polished oak.

Palate

Dark chocolate, gentle smoke, and fresh raspberry lead into blackberry compote, cedar and honeyed malt.

Finish

Dark berries, cocoa, cedar and a lingering ribbon of soft wood smoke.
