Loch Lomond 28 Year Old 1996 - Caledonian Dreaming (Uncharted Whisky)

A generously aged cask strength single grain Scotch whisky from Loch Lomond, brought to us by indie bottler Uncharted Whisky. Distilled in 1996, the whisky dwelled in a pair of bourbon casks for 28 years before vatting and bottling in 2025. A release of 595 bottles.

    Tasting Note by The Producer

    Nose

American cream soda, Granny Smith apples, apple pie and Cornish vanilla ice cream

    Palate

Smooth and gentle with wisps of humidor and spices. Apple pie and cream coats the whole mouth.

    Finish

The fruit fades first letting the woody flavours of oak, cloves and nutmeg take centre stage leaving a gentle warmth.
