Intriguing light, creamy single grain from Loch Lomond, distilled in 1996 and matured for 25 years – 22 of which were spent in bourbon hogsheads, while the final three were spent in Diamond rum casks from Guyana! It was eventually released by Murray McDavid for its Mission Gold series, with an outturn of 391 limited bottles.
Nose: Very creamy, with orange curd, sticky liquorice, and tinned fruits.
Palate: Sweet popcorn, ripe pineapple, and woody spice.
Finish: Candied ginger, melted brown sugar, and oily citrus.
